Serik is a district town on the plain east of Antalya, a few kilometres inland from the coast. It is the administrative centre of a large district that stretches from the beaches of Belek, Kadriye and Bogazkent up into the foothills of the Taurus Mountains. The town itself is a working Turkish town rather than a resort, surrounded by farmland and greenhouses, with markets, shops and everyday life.

People travel to Serik for many reasons: to visit family, for work, to stay in a village house or holiday home in the surrounding countryside, or to be close to the ancient theatre of Aspendos, which lies within the district. Its position on the main highway, between Antalya and Manavgat, makes it a practical base for exploring the region away from the busy resort strips.

The transfer is about 32 km and usually takes around 38 minutes. From the airport, the route joins the D400 highway heading east, crosses the Aksu plain and passes the turn-offs for Belek before reaching Serik. It is a straightforward drive on a wide main road, so you can expect to arrive soon after leaving the terminal.

After baggage claim, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. He helps with your luggage and walks you to the vehicle. We track your flight, so if you land early or late, the driver adjusts to the actual arrival time, and there is no charge for waiting on delays. A night landing costs exactly the same as a daytime one, and luggage is always included.

In and around the town, visitors stay in family homes, apartments, small town hotels and village houses spread across the countryside, often among fields and orchards. Many addresses are outside the centre and some village roads have no clear street names, so please send us the full address and, ideally, a location pin when you book.

The big beach resorts of the Serik district, in Belek, Kadriye and Bogazkent, have their own pages on our site. Wherever you are going, the vehicle is reserved for your party only and takes you straight to your door, with no shared shuttle and no stops on the way.

Serik is surrounded by some of the best-known sights of the Antalya region, all easy to reach by private car:

• Aspendos – one of the best-preserved Roman theatres in the world, with the remains of a long aqueduct nearby.
• Perge – the extensive ruins of an ancient city with a colonnaded street, stadium and city gates, west of Serik.
• Koprulu Canyon – a national park in the mountains to the north, known for rafting on the Koprucay river.
• Selge – the ruins of an ancient mountain city above the canyon, often visited on the same trip.
• The Belek coast – long sandy beaches and golf courses, a short drive towards the sea.

Because Serik is close to the airport, the return is quick, but you should still be at Antalya Airport about 2.5–3 hours before an international flight — check your airline's advice. For a flight at 10:00, for example, a pick-up from Serik at around 06:15 gives you enough time for the drive of under 40 minutes and for check-in.
