Güllük is a small fishing and port town on the gulf of the same name, in the Milas district of Muğla province. It lies just west of Milas-Bodrum Airport, closer to the terminal than any of the Bodrum peninsula resorts. Life in Güllük revolves around its harbour: fishing boats come and go, fish restaurants line the waterfront and in the evenings locals and visitors stroll along the promenade. A commercial port at the edge of town gives it a working, everyday character.

Güllük is not a big resort, and that is its appeal. Many Turkish families have summer houses here, and the town attracts travellers who prefer a genuine, unhurried seaside town to a hotel strip, as well as guests on short stays, visiting relatives or arriving late and wanting to be in bed quickly. The bays and small beaches along the gulf are easy to reach from town.

The route is about 16 km and takes around 20 minutes, one of the shortest transfers from this airport. From the terminal the car joins the main road, then turns west towards the coast and follows the gulf into town. It is a straightforward drive on good roads, which makes a late-night arrival easy.

As you leave baggage claim, your driver is waiting in the arrivals hall with a name sign and helps with your luggage. We track your flight, so if you land early or late the pick-up is adjusted and there is no charge for waiting on delays. The drive back takes only about 20 minutes. Plan to be at the airport about 2–3 hours before an international flight — check your airline's advice. For a 15:00 flight, for example, a pick-up in Güllük at around 12:00 works well. The driver comes to the same point where you were dropped off.
