The dive day at a glance
The coast around Antalya is one of the most accessible places in Turkey to try scuba diving. The water is clear and warm for much of the year, and the rocky shoreline below the Taurus Mountains drops into reefs, small caves and walls where you can see Mediterranean fish, octopus, sea urchins and colourful seabed life. Dive sites are reached by boat from a harbour on the coast, and the dive team chooses them on the day according to the sea conditions and the experience of the group.
The tour is designed both for beginners and for people who have dived before. If you have never dived, you take part in an introductory dive: after a briefing on the boat, you go down with an instructor who stays at your side, controls the depth and keeps an eye on your equipment. Divers with experience should mention it when booking so the team can plan accordingly. Between dives there is time to swim, snorkel and relax in the sun on deck, which makes the day enjoyable for non-diving companions as well.
Booking
How the day runs
- Hotel pickup: our driver picks you up at your hotel and drives you to the harbour where the dive boat departs.
- Briefing: on board, the instructors explain the equipment, breathing, equalising the ears, hand signals and what to expect underwater.
- Boat diving: at the dive site you get into your gear and go down with the instructors. The number and length of dives depend on your level and the conditions.
- Swim breaks: between dives the boat stays in a bay where you can swim, snorkel or rest on deck.
- Return: in the afternoon the boat returns to the harbour and we drive you back to your hotel.
The whole day takes about 7 hours including the transfer. Hotels further away from the harbour mean a longer drive, and the exact pickup time is given when you book.
Good to know before diving
- Health: diving is not suitable for everyone. If you have heart or lung conditions, asthma, ear or sinus problems, a cold, or are pregnant, tell us before booking; the dive team may ask you to fill in a health form.
- Safety: follow the instructors' instructions at all times, never hold your breath underwater and signal immediately if something feels wrong. The equipment and the briefing are provided by the dive team.
- Flying: do not plan a flight straight after the dive day; ask the instructors about the recommended interval between diving and flying.
- What to bring: swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a change of clothes. If you get seasick easily, take precautions before boarding.
- Photos: underwater photos are only possible with a waterproof camera; ask the team before taking one down.
Pickup and transport
We pick you up from your hotel and bring you back after the dive day. Pickup is possible from the resorts of the Antalya region, including Lara, Kundu, Konyaaltı, Belek, Side, Manavgat, Kemer and Alanya. The pickup time depends on your hotel area and is given when you book.
You travel in our own vehicles: a VW Caravelle-class minivan, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito or a Mercedes Sprinter for larger groups. A private option for your group only can be requested, and child seats are free on request.
