The tour at a glance
The coast around Kemer is one of the most popular diving areas on the Turkish Riviera. The Taurus Mountains drop steeply into the sea here, so the underwater landscape continues the scenery above it: rocky walls, boulders, small caves and sea-grass meadows, with visibility that is often very good in the warm months. Typical sightings include groupers, damselfish, wrasse, octopus, moray eels and, with luck, a turtle.
The day is built around two dive sessions from a dive boat. Complete beginners usually do an introductory dive: after a briefing on the boat, an instructor stays close to you in shallow, calm water. Certified divers can join dives that match their level. Between the dives there is time to rest on deck and swim.
It suits curious first-timers, couples and friends who want something more active than a beach day, and experienced divers on holiday who want an easy dive day without organising anything themselves.
Booking
How the day runs
The whole day takes about 8 hours including transfers. A typical flow:
- Morning pickup from your hotel and the drive to the dive centre or harbour in the Kemer area.
- Registration, a short health questionnaire and fitting of the equipment.
- The boat leaves for the first dive site, where the team gives a safety briefing.
- First dive, then a long surface break on board with time for a meal and a swim.
- Second dive at another spot, chosen according to the sea conditions.
- Return to the harbour in the afternoon and the drive back to your hotel.
The dive sites are chosen on the day by the dive team, according to the weather, the current and the level of the group.
Good to know
- Bring swimwear, a towel, sun cream, a hat and a light top for the boat.
- Diving is not suitable for everyone: tell the team about heart or lung conditions, ear problems, pregnancy, recent surgery or medication. The questionnaire may require you to skip diving.
- Always follow the instructors' instructions underwater and on the boat; equalise your ears gently and say if anything feels uncomfortable.
- Do not plan a flight too soon after diving; ask the instructors how long to wait.
- Minimum age and other conditions for children are set by the dive team; ask when booking.
- Eat a light breakfast and drink enough water; take a seasickness remedy if you need one.
- Underwater photos are often offered on board; a waterproof case for your own phone is useful on deck.
What is included (entrance tickets, meals, equipment) is confirmed when you book.
