The tour at a glance
The coast around Kemer is one of the greenest stretches of the Turkish Riviera: the Taurus Mountains, with Mount Tahtalı at over 2,300 metres, rise almost straight from the sea, and pine forests run down to small coves with pebble beaches and very clear water. The best way to see it is from the sea, and the Megastar is a big, stable excursion boat with several decks, shaded areas and plenty of room to spread out.
- Kemer bays – the boat follows the coast near Kemer, where the cliffs, coves and pine slopes are typical; depending on the day the route can include areas such as Moonlight Bay or the coast towards the ancient harbour city of Phaselis.
- Swim stops – the boat anchors in sheltered bays where the water is turquoise and you can swim, snorkel with your own mask or simply float.
- Lunch on board – a meal on deck is part of the usual programme; what exactly is served is confirmed when you book.
- Sun decks – space to relax in the sun or shade between the stops.
The day suits families, couples and anyone who wants a relaxed sea day with mountain views rather than a party boat.
Booking
How the day runs
Count on about 7 to 8 hours door to door. The captain decides the route and the swim spots on the day according to the wind and sea, so this is a typical day rather than a fixed itinerary:
- Pickup from your hotel and drive to the harbour in Kemer.
- Boarding and departure along the coast.
- First swim stop in a bay, then onward along the cliffs.
- Lunch on board around the middle of the day.
- One or two more swim stops in the afternoon, with time to sunbathe on deck.
- Back in Kemer harbour in the afternoon and return drive to your hotel.
Good to know
Wear your swimsuit under light clothes and bring a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat; on the water the sun is stronger than it feels. Shoes with rubber soles are safer on a wet deck, and water shoes help on pebbly beaches. A mask and snorkel are worth bringing if you have them – the water around Kemer is famous for its clarity. If you are prone to seasickness, take your usual remedy before boarding.
Children who cannot swim well should wear life jackets in the water, and parents should keep them close at the rails. Jumping from the deck is only for confident swimmers and only where the crew allows it. The boat is large and steady, so older travellers usually find the day comfortable, although getting into the water by ladder takes some agility. Keep your phone in a waterproof pouch for photos from the swim stops.
Pickup and transport
We pick you up from your hotel and bring you back after the boat trip, from all resorts of the Antalya region – Kemer, Beldibi, Göynük, Çamyuva, Tekirova, Konyaaltı, Lara, Belek, Side and Alanya. From Kemer itself the drive is short; from the resorts east of Antalya it is longer. The pickup time depends on where your hotel is and is given to you when you book.
You travel in our own vehicles: a minivan of the VW Caravelle class, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito or a Mercedes Sprinter for larger parties. A private transfer with only your own group can be asked for. Child seats are free on request.
