The buggy safari at a glance
A buggy safari is the sociable cousin of the quad ride. Instead of sitting alone on a quad, you drive a small off-road buggy with side-by-side seats, a steering wheel and a roll cage, so two people can share the adventure: one drives, the other navigates, laughs and takes the photos. The route runs over dirt roads and gravel tracks and through pine forest in the hills outside the city, with dusty straights, bends and a few muddy or bumpy crossings depending on the season.
Because you steer with a wheel and use pedals as in a car, many guests find a buggy easier to handle than a quad. That makes it a popular choice for couples, friends and families who want to sit together, and for groups who prefer to stay side by side rather than in a long line of single riders. No previous off-road experience is needed; the activity team explains everything before you start, and a guide leads the convoy.

How the safari runs
- Hotel pickup: our driver collects you from your hotel and drives you to the buggy base outside Antalya.
- Briefing and equipment: the instructors explain the pedals, steering and signals, check seat belts and hand out helmets and other safety gear.
- The buggy route: you follow the guide in a convoy over forest tracks and dirt roads, keeping the pace he sets.
- Photo stops: along the way the group stops at scenic spots so you can take pictures of the buggies, the forest and the hills.
- Return: after the ride you can clean up and we drive you back to your hotel.
The whole programme takes about 2–3 hours, depending on the distance between your hotel and the base and on the group. The actual driving time is set by the activity team on the day.
Good to know before you drive
- Clothing: wear old clothes that can get dusty or muddy, closed shoes and sunglasses. A buff or scarf over your mouth and nose helps on dry days.
- Sun and water: bring sunscreen and water; in midsummer the dust and heat can be strong.
- Safety: keep your seat belt fastened, keep hands and arms inside the buggy and follow the instructors' instructions at all times. Keep a safe distance from the buggy in front.
- Age and fitness: the minimum age for drivers and passengers and whether a driving licence is required are confirmed when you book. The ride is bumpy, so it is not recommended during pregnancy or with back or neck problems.
- Photos: passengers can film on easy stretches if the phone is held securely; drivers keep both hands on the wheel and take photos at the stops.
