Payallar is a quiet coastal village on the western approach to Alanya, between Turkler and Konakli. Behind the seafront, the land rises quickly into the green slopes of the Taurus Mountains, with banana and citrus gardens on the lower terraces. The coastline is a chain of sand and pebble beaches, with clear water and views along the coast towards the Alanya peninsula.

Compared with Alanya town, life here moves at a slower pace. Payallar suits families, couples and older travellers who want a calm seaside base, as well as the many visitors who own or rent a holiday flat in the area. There are local shops, a few restaurants and cafés, and Alanya's centre, with its castle, harbour and shopping streets, is only a short drive further east.

The distance is about 110 km and the transfer normally takes around 115 minutes. From the airport, the route runs along the D400 coastal highway to the east all the way: past Serik and the Belek turn-offs, through the Manavgat area, then along the sea via Okurcalar, Avsallar, Incekum and Turkler. Payallar follows straight after Turkler, just before Konakli.

Once you have collected your luggage, your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. He helps with your bags and takes you to the car. We follow your flight, so the driver knows about any change to the landing time and is there when you come out; waiting on delays is free. Arriving at night costs no more than arriving during the day, and luggage is always included in the fixed price.

Payallar has a mix of beach hotels and residential complexes. Several mid-sized and larger hotels sit along the coast, some directly on the beach and some on the inland side of the highway. Up the hillside and in the streets behind the main road you will find apartment blocks with pools, holiday villas and smaller family-run hotels.

If you are staying in an apartment, please send us the complex name, the block and, if possible, a location pin, so the driver can take you to the right gate. For hotels, the full hotel name is enough. Your vehicle is reserved for your party only and brings you to the door, without a shared shuttle and without stops at other hotels.

With a private car you can reach the best-known sights around Alanya easily:

• Alanya castle and cable car – take the cable car up from the Damlatas area to the old fortress.
• Cleopatra beach – Alanya's long sandy beach on the western side of the peninsula.
• Boat trip from Alanya harbour – sail around the peninsula past its sea caves and the Red Tower.
• Dim cave – a large dripstone cave in the hills east of Alanya, often combined with lunch by the Dim river.
• Alarahan – the Seljuk caravanserai near Okurcalar, beneath the ruins of Alara castle.

For your flight home, plan to arrive at Antalya Airport about 2.5–3 hours before an international departure — check your airline's advice. With a flight at 14:30, for example, a pick-up from Payallar at around 09:30 leaves enough time for the drive of just under two hours and for check-in.

We recommend booking the arrival and return together so your pick-up is arranged before you travel. Vehicles available:
