Kizilot is a small coastal town in the Manavgat district, on the stretch of Turkish Riviera between Side and Alanya. It has a real local centre with shops, cafés and everyday services, while the hotels line up along a long beach on the seaward side of the main road. Behind the town, farmland and greenhouses climb gently towards the Taurus Mountains.

The resort appeals to holidaymakers who want a full beach holiday at a relaxed pace, many of them in all-inclusive hotels. It is a good base for exploring both directions of the coast: Side and Manavgat to the west, and Alanya with its castle to the east.

The transfer is about 85 km and usually takes around 94 minutes. The route follows the D400 coastal highway the whole way east: past Belek and Serik, around Manavgat, and on through the resort strip to Kizilot. It is the main road of the Riviera, wide and easy to drive, so the journey is comfortable even after a long flight.

When you come through into the arrivals hall, look for your driver holding a sign with your name. We check your flight's status, so the driver is there when you actually land, and any waiting caused by a delay is free of charge. The fixed price covers your luggage, and it is the same for a midday arrival as for one in the middle of the night.

Most visitors stay in the beach hotels that stretch along the shore, from mid-sized family hotels to large resorts. Inland, around the town centre, there are apartments and smaller guesthouses, which suit travellers who like to eat out and shop locally.

Kizilot runs into its neighbours along the coast, and several hotels are listed under nearby place names, so please give us the full hotel name or a map pin when you book. Your driver will then take you right to the entrance of your hotel, with no shared stops, no other passengers and no change of car.

Kizilot sits in the middle of the coast, which makes day trips in either direction straightforward with a private car:

• Alarahan – a Seljuk-era caravanserai near the Alara stream, with a castle on the hill above.

For an international flight, aim to arrive at Antalya Airport about 2.5–3 hours before departure — check your airline's advice. With a 13:00 flight, for example, a pick-up from Kizilot at around 08:30 gives enough time for the drive of about an hour and a half, check-in and security.
